City Tournament Important Info

Player Cards & Tournament Rosters - Player card packets have been mailed to all head coaches. ALL PLAYERS & COACHES must be on the signed tournament roster as well as have the photo card to participate and/or be on the team sideline. Be sure to print enough copies of your tournament roster to last throughout the entire tournament!

SCORES - Teams MUST report their scores promptly after each game. Go to the Schedules page here and use the Score Reporting form to enter your results.  Please read the directions on the form carefully and ONLY submit numeric scores.  The page includes directions for reporting scores when games go to Penalty Kicks.  Only one team needs to submit so if you don’t see your game listed, please check the bracket as it is likely already updated.  Teams are advanced automatically through the bracket so if you make a submission mistake that impacts the winner/loser please email sysaschedules@sysa.org.  Include any 'Good of the Game' comments about your positive experiences each match as well. We will post these throughout the tournament.

Sideline Policy - Spectators should plan to stand across the field from teams, not on the same side next to them. This is standard soccer tournament policy, and SYSA follows this for all City Tournament games. Only coaches on the roster should be on the team sideline.

Field Lights - Many games are played at night under the lights. Lights at all Seattle fields are scheduled to come on 30 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. Please do not call Seattle Parks requesting that lights be turned on before then. If you are the first game at a field and the lights do not come on 30 minutes prior to the scheduled game time, call this number: 1-855-330-8400.

Note: Field lights at Shorewood & Shorecrest high schools in Shoreline will only turn on 15 minutes prior to game time.

Field Goals

If the Goals are locked, please ask the ref for the code, as they should have them, or can get them by contacting the Referee leadership.

Practice Fields - SYSA reserves field time for teams to use on a drop-in, first-come basis during the City Tournament. Please share the space with whichever teams show up to practice. Fields may be removed from the list as needed, so please double check the list before showing up to the practice field. These fields and times are linked ot the City Tournament Schedules pages on the SYSA website. Note: All grass fields are now closed. Please do not use any grass fields in your neighborhood to practice.

CAUTION!! Car prowls are common at most fields!Do NOT leave anything important in your car and visible. Store items in the trunk or leave them at home.

Questions or comments on any of this information should be sent to anne.bare@sysa.org
